I had a bunch of weird people over to my house looking at the vacant room and basically judging me based on my personal belongings. Little do they know that they are not judging me but a crazy amalgamation of my friends and former roommates. No I don't have a yellow couch because it represents my sunshiny personality, I have a yellow couch because it was free. To make it truly representational of my personality I would have to spray paint it black. I would also add 1 bright pink polka dot hidden off to the side to appeal to my feminine sensibilities and show my true indecisive nature. Every other piece of furniture in my house was either given to me, dumpster dived or left behind by other roommates. As I look around my apartment taking a mental inventory of all my free stuff and remembering how I acquired it, I also wonder if I got all this stuff free what the hell do I spend all my money on? Perhaps I have a split personality with a nasty heroin addiction or I sleep shop on ebay and send all the stuff to the homeless in Indonesia, because what they really need is a grilled cheese sandwich that looks like Elvis crying, A red sweatshirt with an airbrushed unicorn that says "Tiffi" on the back of it and an instruction manual for the 1998 Palm pilot (1st edition, its a riveting good read and bound to be recognized as a classic one day).
Anyway I think I found a roommate. Actually 2 of them. Yeah they are straight but what can I do? The girl knows my Bio teacher and as it turns out she also knows a bunch of other random people I know. Or knows people who know people that I know, if that makes any sense. I hope that they decide to move in, they are looking around and still deciding. I do have a back up person, shes a nice little baby dyke but I'm not quite sure how reliable she is going to be.
